Exotic Red Bottom Soles…

10th November 11

body glitter in gold”…Ever wonder why the BOSS always refers to “Red Bottom Soles” in more than one of his songs.

Celebrity endorsement…you didn’t know?

Okay so my biased opinion will refuse to believe that endorsements have anything to do with Rick Ross’s references to Louboutins or the fact that his music label is named after the luxurious Maybach cars…(pure denial)

But reality is, these stars are getting paid BIG BUCKS to mention a brand or label whether it be in a music track or twitter, which seems to be the hot spot for celebrity endorsed @mentions. If you think about it, if Kim Kardashian’s tweets about the jeans that make her famous booty look fab - this will be blasted to her 6 million followers who can then retweet to others - next thing you know, wherever these jeans are sold, they sell out in minutes. Probably the fastest and one of the most effective forms of buzz marketing.

The way I see it is that essentially the brands would rather not make it obvious that these celebs are getting paid to mention their products. As a result, they mention them casually, in their normal everyday settings (twitter - wow this is now considered a “normal setting” today in the 21st century) as opposed to appearing on a commercial which is a blatant way to show celebrity endorsement. I must say It’s very smart and is clearly working. Anyway, I’m sure you all will notice it now - some may say It’s unfair to the consumer, I think It’s brilliant.

Here are a few more of my fav of @RickyRozay:

“The ones beneath me recognize the red bottoms I wear” - reference to Loubs
Call Marc Jacobs personally to make appear…”
