Consumerism…
The note I last left you on, all I have to say is that I am a victim…yes I practise consumerism. Now before we start reacting negatively to this term, we need to remember that the world is a business. In order for the life cycles to continue, we must consume on a regular basis non?
In other words, everything is good in moderation. I may admit to my shopoholic habits from time to time BUT on average I would say I’m a moderate shopper. To get to my point, the term is defined as economically desirable. So when we’re sometimes bombarded by emails reminding us of sales we must remember that it is not only for the good of the consumer or business, but for the economy as a whole ;)
If you’re a smart shopper (I like to think of myself as one) you’ll sometimes control impulse purchases with hopes that you’ll catch that amazing end of sale deal. But careful of some merchandise, if you’re in love and you often think about acquiring this piece, spoil yourself or you’ll be quite devastated when it sells out.
On that note, I encourage you all to take advantage of end of season sales! Go on, last minute Christmas gifts? Now’s the time ;)
